Q&A Series: Gabi Sullivan

Gabi is an absolutely gorgeous woman inside and out. She isn't afraid to share the realer, more vulnerable side of herself through social media and she has a beautifully kind and warm personality that we adore. She has a smart, positive focus on health and wellbeing, so we recently interviewed her to unsource some tips and ideas and she didn't fail to deliver!

Spell out your morning routine for us!

As soon as I wake up I’m straight into the kitchen making my hot lemon and l’glutamine drink, followed by my skincare routine. Next I’ll make a smoothie and then I make my way to the gym.

For me, wellness means…

Wellness is everything to me, there is no better feeling in the world than being healthy and nourishing your body. Being active, outdoors and eating a lot of healthy nutritious food is wellness to me.

What do you do each day to feel connected to yourself?

Being in nature and around animals is when I truly feel like I’m connected to myself. I also find going to the gym is ‘me’ time and I always leave feeling so good.

What’s your typical day on a plate?

I usually always start with a smoothie and if I’m extra peckish and slice of homemade spelt toast. I usually snack a lot during the day on nuts, fruit, protein bars or crackers. For lunch I’ll have a stir fry i love to make of veg, rice and tuna. Or I’ll have a salad and tuna. Dinner I usually have fish or some sort of vegan protein with roasted veg and rice or quinoa. On the weekend I’ll usually make a delicious vegan pasta!

What food can’t you live without?

Definitely fruit!

How do you find balance in your life?

I feel like I’m quite lucky with my job and working from home most of the time. But when I’ve had a big week or I’m really stressed I’ll treat myself to a facial or a massage to unwind.

What’s your ultimate priority?

My health and well-being!

What makes you feel the happiest?

I have a few things that make me my happiest. My sausage dogs, my boyfriend, my mum & travelling / summer / the beach

What does your exercise routine across a week look like?

I usually train in a gym 5 days a week, 4 days I’m training with heavy weights and 1 day I usually do conditioning or some cardio (I love the step machine). I also love reformer Pilates so if I get a chance I’ll go there 1-2 times a week.

What’s your skincare/beauty routine?

I’m forever leaning about skincare and always trying new products but every morning I like to wash my face, use a hydrating serum, vitamin C, spf, eye cream and a super hydrating moisturiser. I love to use drunk elephant sunshine drops with my moisturiser to give me a bronzed glow especially in these winter months. At night I always cleanse my face and then use micellar water to get any dirt I’ve missed. I’m currently obsessed with Alpha H liquid gold glycolic acid (you have to try it) I use it every alternative night to resurface my skin overnight! — I also use imbibe collagen and probiotics which are a must for good skin.

What are some of your most powerful habits that help propel you to achieve your goals and lead a productive yet steady life?

Believing in myself and never giving up, no matter how many times I lose hope or feel like it’s too hard or I’m not good enough I will always accept the process, realise where I took a wrong turn, give myself a little pep talk and I’m back on my path!

What’s your favourite food indulgence?

Mmm definitely dark chocolate.

Your favourite body-positive message?

Beauty comes in all shape and sizes!
