This study investigated the effects on physical performance in competitive athletes during endurance exercise. They performed a trial on 14 trained male athletes over 4 weeks and concluded that Chronic Rhodiola Rosea supplementation was able to reduce lactate levels and skeletal muscle damage after an exercise session. They also found it may improve fatty acid consumption, supporting the idea that it may increase adaptogen ability to physical exercise.
